Wrinkles Wrinkles go away…
Maybe you were a sun worshipper like I was….growing up in San Diego, I was always at the beach, trying to get my fair skin the darkest it could be. Not the smartest move, but with age comes wisdom, right? While I may have attained a good tan each year, all that sun damage is now coming back to haunt me!
The “laugh lines” in my forehead are starting to set in, deep dish style. And while I love deep dish pizza, I do not want deep dish wrinkles in my forehead at 35! I thought about botox, because it seems to be the best solution, but it’s also creepy and expensive, so I’ll pass for now.
So what am I doing to smooth my wrinkles?
Well, I discovered these awesome wrinkle smoothing patches called “Frownies”. They’ve been around for longer than my grandmother, and she is 101, so this stuff is the real deal. (The company started in 1889….and yes, they’re even on IG!)
How does it work? It is essentially a natural and organic craft paper with an adhesive backing. The adhesive is activated by rosewater (or tap water if you prefer.) I spray the frownies square, smooth it on my forehead between my eyes, and it sticks there like glue all night long. The patch smooths my forehead wrinkles by essentially freezing my muscles, so I can’t lift or wrinkle my brow.
Sounds bizarre, but that’s actually what Botox does too, just on the inside through an injection. I noticed a huge difference after using frownies for a month! And now if I skip a few nights in a row, I can tell that my lines become more noticable, so I try and use them every night.
In addition to the frownies wrinkle patch, I was sent Frownies Eye Gels. I woke up yesterday with bags under my eyes and felt puffy, so I figured it was the perfect time to try them.
(While I use eye creams every day, I’ve never tried the under eye gel patches that are popular right now. )
Um, these little gel pads were awesome! They were pretty wet, so I suggest lying down while you use them so they don’t slip down your cheek. The directions say to keep them on for 15-30 minutes. When I removed them, the puffiness was gone and my under eye skin actually looked dewy and glowing! The best thing is that the eye gels are reusable. I put them back in the plastic case and popped them back in the fridget. If they dry out, I’ll just mist with my rosewater spray and bring them back to life. Each package of eye gels comes with 3 sets, so I figure these will last me a while! And for $21.95 (or cheaper when you use my discount code Cutewithkids for 15% off), this wrinkle smoothing option is MUCH more affordable than Botox!
