My latest obsession is my new leather jacket. Well, faux leather, of course, since real leather comes at a premium price and I’m not living the premium lifestyle right now. Are any of us, as moms of little ones? Most of us are just trying to survive and get out the door each morning looking halfway cute (with kids).

A few years ago I had a cute beige faux leather jacket from Guess. But after a few years, that quality faux was no more, it was starting to crack off. So into the donate pile it went….and the search for a new one began.

For the past few years, I’ve stayed away from black jackets because I was partial to brown and beige. Well, this year I started wearing more black and figured it went better with my cute and newly updated wardrobe….so I hunted around for a cute black jacket and found one at the most unexpected store! Think of a store you haven’t been inside of in 20 years, and used to have the most gorgeous teenagers standing at the door as models. Yes, that one. The one that made you sweat bullets before stepping inside.

Well now I’m 35, so I went inside and didn’t worry about the things I worried about back then. I was a woman with a mission! A cute faux leather jacket with a removable fur collar? And 50% off? Hey there you sexy thing, you are my new BFF for 2020!

So now that black is back (in my closet), I’ve paired this jacket with everything! Dresses, jeans, skirts, it throws on over anything. So go ahead, look deep in your closet.
