See Kai Run – Quality Shoes for Kids!

February 5, 2021 / Comments Off on See Kai Run – Quality Shoes for Kids!

Did you know that See Kai Run was founded by a Seattle mom in 2004?? Yep – when she couldn’t find shoes that were kid friendly, fun, and provided the necessary support for a developing foot…. Over the years, we have purchased many of their shoes and have the…

Bathing Suit Round Up: Ruffles, gingham, and seersucker!

March 19, 2020 / Comments Off on Bathing Suit Round Up: Ruffles, gingham, and seersucker!

When bathing suit season rolls around, most of us fall into 2 categories: Apply our self tanner & start shopping up a storm or Hide our pale skin, tell ourselves last year’s swimsuit is in great condition, and avoid the subject until the first sunny day of summer requires it. And of course, this year we are in the midst of the Coronavirus and unsure of when our lives will go back to normal, so bathing suits might be number 1,087 on your list. I get it. But if you DO want to focus on our apocolyptic springtime coming to an end, then let’s talk about swimsuits. I used to…

Pass on scratchy wool, and invest in some oh so soft cashmere sweaters!

December 21, 2019 / Comments Off on Pass on scratchy wool, and invest in some oh so soft cashmere sweaters!

Cashmere is not only soft and luxurious, it’s currently in your price range. I refuse to buy itchy wool because it is exactly that – itchy. Instead, I wait until one specific store marks down all their cashmere to at least 60% off and then I typically buy a new sweater each year. Usually the sale is the day after Christmas, but this year the sales are starting now. YAY!! Even if you think that cashmere is difficult to maintain, think of it like this….It will last – much longer than cheap, synthetic sweaters. It is incredibly warm and soft. It will make you feel like a million dollars! So…
